đ not the other way around.
Iâm a former special education teacher and homeschooling mother who now helps families of children who struggle in school or homeschool understand how to support learning in a way that actually works for their child.
Through child-led, self-directed learning approaches, I help you move away from pressure and confusion, and toward clarity, connection, and real progress at home.
This is for you if:
⢠Your child is struggling in school or homeschool
⢠You feel like traditional methods are not working
⢠Your child learns in a different way
⢠You are constantly worried about their progress or future
⢠You are considering doing something different, but feel unsure where to start
⢠You feel like youâre trying everything⌠and nothing is really helping
If this sounds familiar, you are not alone.
Most children donât struggle because they canât learn.
They struggle because they are being asked to learn in ways that donât match how they naturally develop.
When learning is forced into one system, many children shut down, resist, or disconnect,
not because something is wrong with them, but because something is not working for them.
When we start to follow the childâhow they think, move, explore, and engageâlearning becomes more natural again.
Learning becomes more natural again.
And often, much more peaceful at home.
I am a former special education teacher
with years of experience working with children who were labeled as âbehind,â âdifficult,â or ânot meeting expectations.â
I chose to homeschool my own children and saw firsthand how differently children can learn when they are not forced into a single system.
Over the years, Iâve supported many families in shifting how they see their child and how they approach learning at home.
What Iâve learned is simple:
When we understand the child, everything changes.
If you are here, you may already know this feeling.
The frustration of trying to help your child⌠and it still not working.
The school reports that donât reflect your child accurately.
The constant worry that they are falling behind.
The tension at home when learning becomes stressful instead of natural.
The fear that if something doesnât change now, things will only get harder later.
And underneath all of it is the same quiet question:
âWhat if my child is not the problem⌠but the approach is?â
There is another way to support your childâs learning.
It starts by stepping away from the idea that every child must learn the same way, at the same pace, in the same structure.
Instead, we focus on:
⢠How your child naturally learns
⢠What engages them and keeps them curious
⢠Strength-based learning instead of pressure-based learning
⢠Real-life understanding instead of constant testing and comparison
This is a child-led approach to learning.
Not about doing less.
About doing what actually works for your child.
This is where I work directly with you and your family.
Together, we look at your child, your situation, and what is currently not working, and we make sense of it in a clear, grounded way.
In our consultation, you will walk away with:
⢠A clearer understanding of how your child learns
⢠Insight into what is causing the resistance or struggle
⢠Practical direction for what to do at home
⢠A more peaceful, less pressured approach to learning
⢠A next step that actually feels doable
This is not about giving you more to do.
It is about helping you see your child differentlyâso you can support them differently.
Alongside my work with families, Iâve written books that support parents in understanding child-led learning and rethinking education from the ground up.
They are here to give you perspective, encouragement, and deeper understanding as you navigate this journey with your child.

Deschool in 52 Weeks
A yearlong journey to help you deprogram the school mindset.
This book is different from my other two. Itâs for the parent who already believes in educating without replicating school at home â who enjoys it, trusts it, and knows it works. Yet sometimes, old fears and doubts creep in.
Deschool in 52 Weeks isnât meant to be devoured in a weekend. Instead, itâs a companion for the whole year, guiding you week by week to reflect, question, and slowly let go of the school mindset.
If my first book shares our story, and my second is a practical guide to facilitating self-directed learning, this third book focuses on internal transformation. It helps you strengthen your trust, ease your fears, and embrace the freedom of learning outside the box â one week at a time.
You donât have to keep guessing.
You donât have to keep trying to fit your child into something that doesnât fit them.
There is a different way to understand your child and a different way to support them.
When you are ready, Iâm here to help you take that next step.
